Position Description
The Director of Bank Relations will report directly to the VP of Treasury who is currently building a brand new Treasury Department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a brand new department with one of the largest international insurers in the world. This is a high profile role that requires a hands-on relationship manager who can analyze data including pricing, risk, availability of credit and non-credit services etc., and make recommendations to senior management regarding future relationships with banks. This opportunity provides variety, challenge and a unique opportunity to influence corporate banking relationships.
Responsibilities:
• Support Global Treasurer in Managing the Global Bank Network.
• Develop strong banking network in close cooperation with head office senior management and regional business leaders.
• Negotiate credit agreements ranging from individual loan agreements, letters of credit, and syndicated facilities.
• Support foreign subsidiaries in negotiating a variety of bank services and distribution opportunities while leveraging global pricing power where applicable.
• Perform regular analysis of fees paid to banks for transactions executed and services received.
• Conduct periodic reviews of bank performance with Senior Management; facilitate relationship meetings between banks and Alico Senior Management and prepare Senior Management for these meetings.
• Liaise with Head of Capital Markets and make recommendations on banks to use as transaction counterparties.
• Review treasury generated counterparty exposure on a periodic basis and liaise with ERM on overall counterparty exposure management.
• Ad hoc treasury projects/analysis.
Position Requirements
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 10+ years banking relations experience within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of Corporate Treasury and banking operations, policies, & procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to think creatively and to influence others.
• Strong business acumen and technical expertise in all areas of banking.
