Job Summary



We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Reliability Engineer. Key duties are as follows: Responsible for evaluating and quantifying performance of various Smith Drilling & Evaluation product lines including BHA tools, impact tools and surface equipment. Provide performance verification techniques and root cause analysis for these down-hole tool failures and prototype development. Provide technical support to Design, Research & Development, Manufacturing and Field Engineering groups.



Job Qualifications



* Bachelor’s or Master`s degree in engineering with prior experience as outlined below will be considered.
* 5 - 7 years experience in any of the following: design, manufacturing, field application or reliability analysis of downhole tools and surface equipment.
* Strong background in identifying product related issues and determining the root causes for failures and improving product reliability.
* Statistics knowledge is a plus
* Candidate should be an expert user of MS Office applications
* Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills required
