12654 Electrical Engineer Technologist

We are seeking to hire a qualified candidate to fill the position of Electrical Engineer Technologist in our Houston, TX location.



Job Summary



The positions will begin working on the next generation wired downhole tools and be responsible for the design of electronics for downhole communicational sensors.



Essential Duties/Responsibilities:



· Designing of electronics for downhole sensors.

· Duties will include design, testing, documentation and product support of hardware for use in a downhole environment.

· Development of real-time firmware and debugging software for use in data acquisition subsystems.

· Assist with defining requirements and writing specifications for embedded software and hardware at a sub-system level.



Job Qualifications



· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required. Masters or PhD degree preferred.

· 0 - 3 years of analog and digital instrumentation design experience.

· Entry level candidates must indicate relevant college/intern projects in place of experience.

· Development of embedded software for microprocessors and DSP is also required.

· Design of electronics for high temperature use is a plus

· Ability to develop designs from concept to final production.

· Knowledge of C and C++.

· Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Must be self motivated.

· Must be a team player.

· Able to work unsupervised without daily structure.

· Experience working with scanners and electronic design.
