R12710 SOX Compliance Sr. Auditor



Smith International, Inc., a Fortune 500 Company, is a leading supplier of premium products and services to the oil and gas exploration and production industry, the petrochemical industry and other industrial markets. We are seeking to hire a qualified candidate to fill the position of SOX Compliance Senior Auditor in our Houston, TX location.



Job Summary



* Performs SOX 404 Compliance
* Performs various audits worldwide, including financial audits.
* Develops accurate and complete audit work papers that adequately support audit findings and documents work performed.
* Timely prepares audit points summarizing findings and recommendations and discusses them with auditee.
* Participates on special projects and investigations on an as-needed basis.
* Assists with internal control testing and documentation in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
* Handles special projects, as assigned.



Job Qualifications



* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
* CPA, CIA or another audit or financial certification preferred
* 1 – 5 years of audit experience
* 1 – 2 years public accounting experience with a Big Firm
* Willing to travel a minimum of 40%
* Strong analytical and communication skills
