Description:

Position Summary:

Overall responsibility for various business units in Thermo Fisher Scientific to develop various workflow forms using the MasterControl process module.



Responsibilities cover the development, implementation, enhancement and support of these workflows and other assigned projects and tasks, including administration and support of the MasterControl platform. This resource will work with various business users to develop the requirements and technical specifications (if applicable) for requested workflows.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



§ Developing workflow forms using HTML and Java. Experience with Adobe product/tools is a plus.
Assisting IT resources with technical issues related to MasterControl

§ Responsible for developing business/design requirements with appropriate business users

§ Responsible for developing the specific project plans, functional specifications and other required documentation that would be inherent with a formalized software development life cycle methodology

§ Act as liaison with the global network team



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, ABILITIES



· Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or an equivalent degree is required

· Experience with the MasterControl QMS platform is highly preferred, but not required.

· Experience with Microsoft SQL 2005/2008 database environments.

· Working knowledge of web services associated with JAVA and .NET

· Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

· Analytical and problem solving skills

· Proven success working in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment

· Strong background in planning, coordination, and task prioritization skills
