Line of Business: OPS - IT SERVICES Job Category: Pending Categorization Primary Purpose: The experienced forward-thinking senior-level business technology expert leverages business knowledge and partnerships, technology trends, architectural principles and competitive research to develop business technology strategies that optimize the lines of business in the corporation and facilitate rapid growth. Analyzes business drivers, challenges, future opportunities and corporate objectives to develop strategies and plans that are grounded in industry-proven architecture and technology principles (e.g., application portfolio management, IT/business alignment, IT governance, speed to market, stability and IT optimization). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Develop strong partnership with business and IT leaders to design long-term business technology strategies and plans that drive value to the business, IT and the enterprise. 2. Work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leadership to assess the current business and IT environments, define key objectives, identify success factors and comprehend constraints related to clients' IT challenges. 3. Clearly communicate strategic direction to senior management and to the broader organization. Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior business leaders, providing leadership, coordination, guidance and influence in the development of strategies and strategic vision. 4. Develop and manage an enterprise standard planning process that articulates strategic and tactical plans, financial goals and dependencies. 5. Initiate and facilitate change efforts, align resources, overcome resistance and engage/motivate others to ensure successful implementation of strategies. 6. Leverage competitive research, industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies to support development of business technology strategies and plans.
