Primary Purpose:
Develop, implement, facilitate and inspect the execution of the Decathlon Sales and Service process throughout the BB&T footprint, promoting the Vision, Mission and Values of BB&T.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Facilitate the delivery of core and specialized sales and service training with front-line personnel and upper level/executive management.
2. Serve as Sales Performance Team member to support Decathlon Integration, a process designed to more thoroughly and quickly integrate newly acquired partners or at-risk regions into the Decathlon Sales process. Assist with the development, delivery and inspection of specialized training.
3. Assist other team members with regional consultations by assessing and evaluating sales and service behaviors in retail offices. Assist consultation leader with action plans for inspection and follow-up.
4. Work closely with other lines of business throughout the footprint to determine their needs, relate those needs to sales and service, and develop specific materials to support their initiatives.
5. Keep abreast of competitive sales programs to ensure BB&T continues with the best program to complement the current sales structure.
6. Serve as an internal consultant to all areas of the bank to ensure all aspects of the sales process are incorporated into information delivered to the sales force.
7. Serve on task forces and committees established to continually assess sales behavior and service delivery at BB&T.
8. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Competencies:

1. Bachelors degree or equivalent education, training and work-related experience
2. One year experience in banking or three years experience in sales, management, adult education or related fields
3. Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
4. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office products
5. Ability to travel over night 80% - 85% of the time
6. Ability to work with others in a team environment
7. Demonstrated ability to work with little or no supervision
8. Demonstrated ability in problem solving and decision making
9. Ability to endure light physical labor, i.e. moving tables, chairs, boxes (up to 40 lbs.), etc.
