Line of Business: OPS - IT SERVICES Job Category: Upper Management Primary Purpose: Responsible for overall planning and management of all development activities assigned to a major Services Group (multiple Sections) within Application Development & Data Services.. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Functioning as a Program Manager and Solution Provider (ITSP)/Architect, consult with clients, colleagues, and staff to identify and design solutions to meet the business needs of the client, taking into consideration the latest business approaches and technology architectures. This may include functioning as a Project Manager for some minor projects. 2. Direct and guide assigned managers within the Services Group to ensure effective coordination of Production Support and ongoing maintenance efforts. 3. Plan and develop departmental budgets in accordance with established guidelines; administers compliance to meet budgetary goals and negotiates changes as required. Plan and manage the Resource Planning process for the Services Group. 4. Review and evaluate all technical and business processes on a regular basis, recommending, developing, and implementing continuous process improvement. This includes building or providing input to strategic plans as they pertain to the Corporate, IT and LOB directions. 5. Provide reporting to staff, colleagues, senior management and clients on a regular basis to ensure all relative and critical information is clearly and expeditiously shared. 6. Responsible for assigned personnel regarding employment, career development, performance evaluations, salary changes, promotions, transfers and terminations within established policies and guidelines.
