Senior Counsel, Compliance ( Global ) The candidate will manage all aspects of policy compliance, including: strategic understanding of risks and policies needed to mitigate risks, provision of domain expertise in health care laws such as FCPA, AML, and local anti-corruption laws and codes, interpretation for implementation of new regulations with potential global impact to business, trending analysis in order to provide meaningful strategic information. Will validate training materials in accordance with policies, laws and regulations, and coordinate completion within company's businesses. Advise the business on regulatory, advertising/promotional, and other matters. Support the creation of processes and programs to ensure business compliance to such policies, laws and regulations. Provide regulatory and compliance advice. Create legal forms and best practices. Conduct dynamic live training to influence and educate business. Collaborate with investigations counsel to determine appropriate corrective action is identified and implemented. Coordinate periodic process audits for the business. Manage outside counsel. Interface with Corporate and other company businesses for best practices sharing. Apply combined business and legal judgment to proposed deals, relationships and other issues requiring legal or compliance attention. Focus on building strategies to mitigate risk of 3rd parties and remote sites outside of the U.S. Manage any issues as needed.

The candidate should have a J.D. (or equivalent) degree. Should have U.S. Bar membership or be a qualified lawyer in specific country of practice. Must have 6+ years of recent health care compliance experience at a large law firm or corporate legal department of a medical device or pharmaceutical or equivalent industry. Should have demonstrated experience identifying and resolving legal issues quickly and effectively and ability to make on the spot risk calls. Must have prior exposure to medical industry regulations. Should have prior experience using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. Must have strong working knowledge of English. Should be willing to travel extensively on a global basis. Healthcare industry experience or other highly-regulated industry including CIA or DPA implementation/interpretation experience is preferred.
