Intellectual Property Paralegal The candidate will develop and maintain knowledge of Patent Office Rules and Procedures (US and foreign). Will prepares intellectual property applications for filing as requested. Prepare formal documents, forward to client for signature, and file with various patent offices. Review office actions and other communications from patent offices and prepare preliminary drafts of responses as requested. Correspond with clients regarding the status of applications. Calculate estimates of filing costs. Monitor the docket for any due dates. Work closely with the docketing staff to ensure all dates are docketed. Prepare Information Disclosure Statements (IDS). Obtain copies of patents and articles for IDS. Conduct searches and researche prior art. Communicate with patent examiners and other Patent-Office personnel regarding routine matters as directed. Develop and document client procedures. Develop, document and implement new procedures for sending work to India.

The candidate should have an Associate's degree and 2+ years of experience as a paralegal and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
