Head of Compliance - Retail Financial Services The candidate will be a member of the RFS senior legal and compliance management team responsible for advising senior management on compliance matters. Will report directly to the General Counsel of RFS as well as to the Head of Global Compliance. Design and oversee compliance programs that meet and exceed applicable legal and regulatory requirements and allow the business to grow and serve customers in a prudent and responsible manner. Provide oversight to the compliance programs for all RFS businesses. Partner with RFS lines of business, General Counsels and Compliance teams to develop, implement and administer appropriate policies and procedures. Advise the RFS lines of business on compliance matters for new developments and products. Administer corporate wide compliance policies. Interface with counterparts in audit and risk. Interface with regulators on a regular basis.

The candidate should preferably have a J.D. degree. Should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent compliance, risk or audit work experience of 15 years. Must have expert knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements for the retail banking and consumer lending businesses, as well as U.S. banking regulations.
