Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Five years experience working in the construction estimating field with an emphasis on wastewater conveyance and treatment projects. Certified Cost Technician certification from the AACE must be obtained within one year of hire date.

Candidate must be able to perform takeoff analysis and price projects based on estimating expertise. Solid expertise with computers and estimating software including MS Office. Must have solid communications skills. Candidate must be able to perform estimates using MC2 estimating software or similar estimating software, manage task scheduling using MS Project or SureTrack Project Management Systems. Candidate must have effective time management,written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills; must be articulate with solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills.

Candidate must have valid driver's license and able to provide own transportation to work locations. Candidate must also obtain negative result on drug screen performed in accordance with URS drug testing policy.
Job Description: This position will be part of the project controls team in the construction services division. The team, which is responsible for a wide range of risk-related work, consists of approximately 10 team members. This position reports to the project controls team manager. Position will provide budgetary support for a wide range of Wastewater projects. Cost related tasks will include: plans and specification take off, change order estimating, life cycle costing, construction modeling, construction economic analysis.

Position will interact with both clients, contracted design firms and regulatory agencies such as the EPA. Candidate may be required to make professional presentations to client or agency representatives from time to time. Position will interact with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within URS. Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
