Familiarity with application of ICC and NFPA codes.

Experience with AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software.

Candidate must be able to travel throughout the Midwest.

The URS Fire Protection Group provides code consulting services and design of fire protection / life safety systems for health care facilities, educational institutions, courthouses, high rises, and chemical warehouses nationwide.

Responsibilities for the position include familiarity with building and fire codes (IBC, IFC, and NFPA), preparation of code studies, design drawings, and specifications for fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and smoke control systems, and manipulation of hydraulic calculation software.
