Requires a minimum of 2 years(s) experience working on Civil Engineering projects. Experience in the areas of environmental permit preparation, design of geo-civil engineering systems, and construction oversight. Additional preferences would include subsurface investigation, foundation design, report generation, slope stability analysis, and major geotechnical applications experience.
Requires ability to perform engineering calculations and designs. Required experience with MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD.
Job Description: This position will be part of the Environmental Business Line, specifically the Power Group. The team, which is responsible for a wide range of geo-environmental designs centering around the permitting, design, and construction of coal ash related projects. This position will report to the Power BL Leader.
The position will provide support for the permitting, design, and construction of coal ash disposal facilities. Additional project work will include overall design support for geo-environmental projects (e.g. landfills, slope stabilization, leachate treatment, etc.)
Engineering responsibilities would include calculations, drawing preparation, document generation, and other related services associated with the full scope of a civil engineering design project.
Position will interact with multi-discipline and multi-office teams within URS. Must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists.
