Overview:

Terex Utilities is a truck equipment final stage manufacturer of digger derricks, aerial devices and associated equipment for the utility industry, municipals, telecommunications, tree and electrical contractor markets.




Responsibilities:

This engineer will be responsible for developing and applying reliable engineering methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems. Investigates and evaluates existing technology. Designs and implements new methods, materials, machines, processes or products. Develops new concepts from initial design to market release. Conducts feasibility studies of the design to determine manufacturing integrity as intended. Coordinates activities with materials and purchasing to ensure delivery of supplies or services needed to meet scheduled timelines. Consider safety first in all engineering/design decisions.


Qualifications:

-

* Requires bachelors degree, or equivalent experience, plus four years of related experience with knowledge of structural design, and understanding of hydraulic and electrical schematics.
* Must have knowledge or training in design specification, bill of materials, equipment and component testing methods and equipment functions. Working knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent.
* Requires familiarity with assembly and machining practices.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Demonstrated team player qualities.
* Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
* Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement.
* Commitment to Lean Manufacturing.
