Overview:
The Reconciliation Associate will maintain and reconcile positions and account registrations for our directly held accounts at Mutual Fund and Annuity Sponsors. The candidate should possess strong attention to detail along with the ability to work in a high volume area.
Responsibilities:
This individual will perform the following but not limited to:
* Daily, accurate reconciliation of Mutual Fund and Annuity registration and position discrepancies using internal Books and Records system.
* Establish and maintain strong working relationships with our Mutual Fund and Annuity Sponsors.
* Track the status of open reconciliation issues and report to management.
* Recommend improvements in daily processes.
* Monitor and establish Mutual Fund Corporate Action announcements.
* Assist with projects as directed.
* Assist with new application testing when required.
Principal Accountabilities:
Activity
Sponsor Conversion & Reconciliation
* Convert all sponsors on the PAS Approved Product List. Mutual Funds, Variable Annuities and Variable Life products.
* Reconcile client, account and position activity files from conversions and daily transaction feeds.
Corporate Action processing
* Establish and process sponsor product changes including Name Changes, Mergers and other product information changes.
* Ensure that changes are processed accurately on internal Books and Records System.
Testing Assistance
* Assist User Acceptance Testers with the processing of new project initiative test cases and scenarios when needed.

* Ability to quickly evaluate options and reach a conclusion
Knowledge:
* Mutual Fund operations experience required.
* Knowledge of DST and DAZL file processes.
* NSCC experience a plus.
* Familiarity of MS Office products.
Education and Experience:
Education:
BA/BS or equivalent work experience
Experience:
1-2 years experience in the financial services industry preferably in Mutual Funds.
Reconciliation experience preferred.
