Regulatory Compliance Specialist Duties: Assist the Individual LifeChief Compliance Officer in (1) monitoring and reviewing regulatory and legislative changes affecting applicable insurance products and producers, (2) preparing the company's response to regulatory changes and confirming implementation of necessary changes, (3) legal research into existing state regulatory requirements to improve the Company's overall compliance, (4) working with, and preparing responses to, state examiners and internal auditors during periodic audits of our products and how they are solicited, (5) assist in developing monitoring and assessment tools for compliance function, (6) use developed tools to assess and indentify compliance risks, and (7) the oversight of business processes from a regulatory compliance standpoint. Analyze state legislative and regulatory requirements for impact on portfolio. Determine whether current practices or products are in compliance. Inform internal departments of impact of change and make recommendations for changes in products or practices, as necessary. Confirm with appropriate areas to ensure that needed changes were implemented. Assist in developing of mechanisms to hold and report data from various sources on compliance issues. Use information available to identify compliance risks. Assist in researching and responding to compliance related issues arising out of the procedures used by the company to solicit, issue, and administer the products. Research and help respond to internal company audits and market conduct examinations. Help ensure that recommendations arising out of these audits are implemented.

Requirements: Paralegal certificate or equivalent is required. Should have 3+ years of experience related to compliance or insurance operations. Should have demonstrated verbal and written communications, the ability to communicate with all levels of the Company. Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills required. Understanding of insurance, disability and life products preferred. Ability to research laws and regulations is required. Ability to work with databases and reports is required. Should be well versed in Microsoft Office products; specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of or ability to acquire knowledge of existing company practices and procedures required.
