Description:
This position will be located in Manhattan

You will be instrumental to retention of Aon’s business by providing actuarial and technical support to managers and consulting staff on client work relating to retirement/pension plans.

Performance Objectives

· Support client leads with limited direction through completion and within established time frames and financial parameters to attain overall client deliverables.

· Communicate with external parties via phone and email such as HR contacts, plan sponsors, auditors, etc. to resolve issues, research and respond to routine inquiries, gather and prepare data, etc.

· Attend client meetings and present results as an integral part of a collaborative client service team.

· Achieve specified client servicing deliverables and goals identified each year, based on experience and actuarial technical proficiencies. This may include billable hours, utilization goals, etc.

· Train, mentor and review work product of actuarial students and/or analysts for reasonableness and accuracy to validate data and results.

· Participate in training opportunities, SOA offerings, actuarial student program, etc. to achieve highest industry professional standards and remain current with the regulatory environment such as ERISA, PPA, etc.

· Develop technical actuarial proficiencies and be able to discuss technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

· Interact with multi-disciplinary teams and across practice specialties in order to provide more comprehensive client solutions.



Qualifications

At or nearing EA/ASA. Solid or developing client consulting skills and solid technical actuarial principles relating to the retirement industry typically acquired by approximately 8+ years direct experience
