Long Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:

The position leads one of three Areas of production operations for the ND Production organization
The position reports to the Manager, Operations - ND, and supervises Production Supervisors, Operations Engineers, and Operations Technicians
This position assists Americas Production drive toward First Quartile performance in safety, environmental integrity, production optimization and cost management
The Production Operations Team Lead has responsibility for driving change in:
Production operations - overall supervision and management for selected assets, including planning and execution of safe work practices, maximizing equipment uptime and production rates, maintaining asset integrity
Operations engineering - supervising and developing Operations Engineers, and managing joint operations with various internal and external organizations
ROLE / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build organizational capability in office and field staffs to meet current and future needs
Achieve EHS goals through active support of policies and initiatives
Lead and champion safety efforts to attain 1Q performance
Lead environmental integrity efforts to attain 1Q performance:
Maximize production through maximizing well and facility uptime to attain 1Q performance
Manage Controllable First Spend to maximize profit, attain 1Q performance and meet corporate goals
Insure compliance with corporate and governmental regulations
Actively interface with operators of outside operated properties to insure optimal performance
Maintain close relationship with support organizations (Subsurface, Drilling & Completions, Developments, Land) to insure unity of purpose
Participate in new well and facility expansion projects, providing operational input and coordination during planning and execution
Lead or participate in emergency response activities, as required



Qualifications

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

10+ years relevant industry experience, including production operations supervision and engineering
Proven safety leadership
Experience with onshore operations
Experience with operational process improvement projects, for example, LEAN/Six Sigma
Ability to effectively communicate with management, technical and operations staff
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment
Requires some travel to remote facilities and occasional out of town meetings
EDUCATION / TRAINING:

Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
