The Engineering Quality & Tools (EQT) team, within Engineering Operations, enables engineering productivity by providing Electrical & Mechanical Engineering application support, tool and process automation, testing and recommending new tool versions and technologies for Aerospace engineering globally.The team has two immediate openings for Engineer III to provide Engineering Application support.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Understand the Teamcenter implementation done at Honeywell Aerospace and successfully transition the deployment to support as per the Knowledge Transfer process.
* Provide solutions (per the SLAs) to any user / production issues reported by various users accessing Teamcenter globally.
* Create a knowledge base out of ongoing support activities that helps in improving the productivity of the team and reduce support costs.
* Provide translations of CAD models and drawings between Honeywell & Customer formats for various CAD systems {UG/NX, PRO-E, CATIA.
* Provide UG/NX translation to support Honeywell migration from Pro-E and CATIA legacy formats. NX skills are essential.
* Understand and influence objectives for a new translation Center Of Excellence.
* Develop translation processes and promote design standards.
* Learn new technologies available to convert, evaluate, and repair models.
* Provide support for Data Exchange and CAD Translation vendors.
* Promote organizational business goals and objectives.


Qualifications


Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Engineering(Mechanical/Electrical) or related technical degree.
* 5 or more years of technical experience in Engineering and/or Information Technology with a strong emphasis or strong interest in Design Engineering; and /or 5 or more years in Teamcenter engineering Implementation & end user support; and / or 5 or more years experience UG/NX CAD experience.
* Must be a US Citizen only.
* Strong English verbal and written communication skills and proven presentation skills.

Additional Qualifications:

* Experience with additional CAD tools beneficial.
* Ability to plan tasks and actions to achieve objectives.
* Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively across multiple sites and functions.
* Ability to work effectively with remote teams and peers.
* Green Belt certified; business savvy; process/six-sigma tools knowledge and facilitation skills.
* Familiarity with Intellectual property, ITAR, export compliance and proprietary guidelines for the transfer of data to foreign countries and foreign nationals.
* Experience in ECAD/MCAD tools like Mentor Graphics, Pro/E, UG, CATIA etc and their interfaces to Teamcenter Engineering.
* Experience supporting global end users on a 24 X 7 model with good SLA compliance.
* Experience being part of the global support team

Technical Skills:

* Advanced UNIX and PC expertise
* Advanced UG/NX CAD expertise
* CATIA V4/V5 experience a plus
* Pro-E experience a plus
* CADDS
* Solid Modeling
* Mentor Graphics
* Cadence
* MathCAD
* CAD healing and repair software tools a plus.
* Teamcenter Engineering (TcE) implementation & support.
* Basic understanding of Product Life Cycle Management concepts and their application in the area of Mechanical Design, Bill of Materials, Document Management, Product change/ configuration management, collaborative product development and Portfolio Management.
* Good in troubleshooting Teamcenter Engr related problems that the user may face while using Teamcenter for product design and provide solutions per the SLA's.
* Knowledge of other Cad Systems including SolidWorks.
* Web page editing.
* Basic understanding of:
o Java
o Linux-Red Hat
o JBoss
o SFTP and FTP
o UNIX scripting
