Brief Overview:
The senior cost accountant will serve as the key advisor to the division Finance Manager.
In this position, you'll have the opportunity to:
* Perform all cost accounting responsibilities.
* Supervise and support all fixed asset/capital accounting and hourly payroll.
* Anticipate issues, ensure data integrity and accuracy of details while being capable of higher level interpretation and explanation.
* Coordinate accurate and timely cost accounting activities to satisfy internal and external process partners.
* Ensure the accuracy and reliability of division raw, work-in-progress and finished goods inventory transactions through various periodic reporting, audit and reconciling activities.
* Participate in generating the division's annual profit plan; in development of monthly forecasts, month-end closing, capital and fixed asset accounting, Topsheet, productivity, goalsharing and variance analysis.
* Ensure GAAP and SOX compliance.
* Maintain and improve division controls of company assets and resources.
* Provide effective supervision and development of direct reports; train, develop and motivate subordinates to ensure appropriate personal development to build bench strength in the finance talent pool.
Additional responsibilities:
* Represent finance department on strategic, cross functional support teams as requested or required.
* Support the production operation objectives through active participation in various projects and assignments as requested, including work team coaching and range manufacturing activities.

Qualifications
What you need to succeed in this position:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
* MBA/CPA or job experience in above activities desired.
* Strong knowledge in all areas of division finance - budget, cost, financial analysis, hourly labor reporting and payroll systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word.
* Knowledge of WMCS and SAP desired.
* Basic knowledge of division products and operations desired.
* Understanding and ability to interpret manufacturing expense flow and patterns.
* Must have strong written and oral communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills.
* Ability to use phone, copier, personal computer and fax machine, must be able to climb stairs and stand for extended periods of time as part of production related analysis and activities.
