Arrow Electronics Logistics/Distribution Internship provides opportunity to gain a solid understanding of a Fortune 200 business while making an impact on the future of the company. The Intern must be agile in problem solving and handle multiple projects, while constantly looking for new ways to improve process. It also involves working on problems that are loosely defined and incorporating hard and soft facts into decision making, assessing solutions and consulting with managers.



Responsibilities include:

- Complete functional area training (classroom based and/or hands on) where project is based

- Working with department managers to develop and implement strategies in the following areas: Operations, Programming, Receiving, Picking, and Shipping

- Database troubleshooting and development

- Project: spearheading (developing and implementing) at least one continuous improvement project in Operations, Programming, Receiving, Picking, and/or Shipping areas - Tasks include project management, resource planning, managing people, preparing PowerPoint presentations and performing required analysis



Requirements:

- Solid computer skills

- Solid analytical skills

- Strong database knowledge

- Strong interpersonal communication abilities

- Project management or team based project background

- Junior or Senior level



Preferred fields of study:

Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance/Accounting
