Performs outside and inside operations activities from startup to shutdown in the power plant. Ability to lead teams and troubleshooting efforts, ability to drive issues to root cause and prevent recurrences. Monitors and records plant operational parameters, takes necessary precautions to prevent, predict or limit failures and optimize efficiency. Responsibilities include coordinating of maintenance activities, troubleshooting, repairs, services, calibration and coordination of contractors. Trains and guides less experienced operations and maintenance personnel. Works well in a one-team goal environment. Must be able to read and understand technical manuals, P&IDs, control and logic diagrams. Must have a strong desire to develop and use multiple skills to meet or exceed expectations of internal or external customers. Performs PMs, reliability checks and maintenance of plant equipment. Create/update procedures as required. Aggressively promotes a safe and environmentally compliant environment. Reports to Production Leader or Plant Management.



Work Schedule: 12 hour rotating shift schedule including weekends, holidays and overtime as required.



Position may be filled at a lower level based on the skills and experience of the most qualified candidate.



Qualifications

High School Grad / GED required. Trade school or technical degree preferred. Related experience in power generation/heavy industry.
