The primary function of this position will be to ensure safe and efficient operator of state of the art CNC equipment. Familiarity with blueprints, GD&T, SPC and the use of process gauges is preferred. Working knowledge in CNC equipment operator equivalent to at least two (2) years experience preferred, including ability to setup, run, and changeover equipment. Related education may be considered in lieu of machinery operator experience
Job Qualifications/Educational Requirements High school diploma or GED. Working knowledge of production environment and CNC machinery operation equivalent to at least two (2) years experience preferred, including ability to run, set-up and change-over equipment. Related education or Eaton in-house training may be considered in lieu of CNC machine operation experience. Ability to trouble-shoot production related problems. Must be able to demonstrate good attendance. Working knowledge of hand tools, diagrams, work instructions, blue prints, schematics, gauges, and measuring instruments. Ability to visually identify defective parts with appropriate gauging. Ability to hear machine operation sounds that may indicate defective parts, machine failures, changes in speed, and other routine running conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to work extended hours and/or overtime as required. Must be able to rotate positions and rotate shifts as required. Demonstrated ability to work with little supervision, and function in a team-oriented environment required. ISO/TS 16949 certification experience preferable. Must be able to participate in job development training, such as cross-training, trouble-shooting and team development training.
