Long Description:
Under direction, the Account Executive II is responsible for sales through assigned independent producers (accounts).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Establishes and maintains contacts with assigned accounts as defined by Sales Management.
* Meets monthly and annual forecasted sales goals.
* Cultivates and maintains account relationships. Assists account with product training, product positioning, and marketing and sales strategy. Educates accounts about Health Net's Medicare products. Facilitates delivery of sales, and obtains competitive market information.
* Responsible for effectively managing account activity, including contracting, training, production, compliance, reports, and communication.
* Responsible for managing initial Health Net Contracting instruction, guidance, and working with internal departments to oversee process through to completion.
* Presents Health Net accurately and within a professional format to assigned accounts, and serves as support for account activity and oversight.
* Maintains current information about Health Net benefits, policies & procedures, and CMS compliance.
* Organizes/prepares all required reports, as defined by Sales Management.
* Submits monthly expense reports.
* Completes all assigned COMPASS (internal Health Net) trainings & requirements accurately and in a timely manner.
* Directs participation/involvement in projects as related to assigned accounts.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.

Certification/License:
California Life Agent insurance license or ability to obtain with 45 days of hire

Experience:
Minimum two years successful sales experience with a proven track record.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of Medicare, health insurance products, financing mechanisms, and managed care competitors is helpful.
*
Must be highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a team to achieve goals
*
Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
*
Ability to work strategically with internal and external partners to design presale strategies
*
Excellent organizational skills
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new systems quickly
* Ability to build and retain strong business relationships in the assigned territory
*

As a condition of employment, this position requires the ability to travel within assigned territory and valid driving license and insurance coverage if operating a motor vehicle on company business.
