JOB SUMMARY:
The Account Receivable Representative I allocates payments, reconciles and audits assigned individual and employer group accounts. May collect delinquent dues from employer groups.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Allocates routine employer group payments; reviews unapplied cash report for guidance.

Maintains account reconciliation spreadsheets to track residual account balances.
*
Provides detailed explanations of 30/60/90+ aging of account balances on a monthly basis.
*
Researches and resolves problems involving membership exceptions, dues allocation and billing.
*
Applies payments and audits to maintain client account financial integrity.
*
Performs periodic audits on individual and employer group accounts.
*
Handles internal and external inquiries concerning billing, rates and members.
*
Collects delinquent dues from employer groups; may monitor, identify, control employer group accounts receivables to collect dues.
*
Calculates and processes payments for assigned employer groups.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent work experience required
Certification/License:
Experience:
Two to three years accounting experience within HMO/healthcare industry desired
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to operate PC based office software programs required
*
Strong Excel skills required
*
Demonstrated ability to interact with clients using accepted business behaviors
*
Ability to use 10-key by touch preferred

Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
