Position Profile: We are seeking an Engineering Performance Analyst (EPA) to provide support to engineering cost account managers (CAMs) on Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The EPA is responsible for financial, schedule, and staffing data collection and analysis thereof, reviewing it with the CAM, and ensuring work is being performed according to the project plan. The EPA will aid in writing variance reports when performance deviates from the plan and provide regular reports to program management and the customer. The EPA may also assist with light technical support and requirements management.

Competencies: The EPA must have the following qualities: excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well in a team environment; ability to understand the larger picture of the design/development/build effort being supported while at the same time tending to extreme details of schedule and budget; be self-motivated and proactive; and must be adept with Microsoft excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Familiarity with Microsoft Project is a plus.
The EPA will participate in, or be responsible for, the work listed below:



* Identification of scope, including Statement of Work (SOW), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Integrated Master Plan (IMP) .
* Schedule and budget development efforts for existing or new proposals
* Cost & schedule performance status
* Variance reports (VARs) documenting variances to the plan
* Work-around and recovery plans
* Reviews and updates on Estimate at Completion (EAC)
* Estimates to Completion (ETC)
* Internal and customer reviews
* Maintenance of EVMS reports
* Tracking and mitigation of technical, schedule and cost risk
* BCWS (Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled), BCWP (Budgeted Cost of Work Performed) and ACWP (Actual Cost of Work Performed) of Control Account (all EVMS related)

Education/Experience: Engineering and/or Business degree and 4 years experience. Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in an engineering, or engineering-related field, or those with a business-related degree and experience in an engineering environment. Exposure to, or experience in, project management, cost/schedule baseline development/management, especially within an earned value management system (EVMS), and membership in an engineering product development team are a plus.
Special Requirements: Due to the nature of our work this position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
