Extreme High Frequency (EHF) Communications Engineer
Position Profile:We are seeking an experienced EHF Communications Engineer to develop and apply highly advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to new and existing product lines.
Responsibilities:
* This team member will formulate and provide overall direction for the technical activities within the engineering organization and across project lines.
* The EHF Communications Engineer provides system architecture definition, requirements allocations, design input, and test guidance relevant to EHF requirements for communications systems.
* Participates in, supports, and stays abreast of AEHF working group discussion and developments.
Competencies:
* The EHF Communications Engineer must be able to provide direction to all engineers in solving technical problems/issues.
* They must also have experience working with executive staff as well as individual advanced technology contributors to represent company philosophy to customers/vendors/industry/ government agencies (Army/Navy/Air Force).
* The successful candidate will have Systems Engineering knowledge and experience in design of EHF satellite communications systems for use over MILSTAR and AEHF satellites.
* A familiarity with, and basic understanding of, EHF waveforms, including LDR, MDR, XDR and protocols is also necessary.
* You must be able to develop information which extends existing fields and work independently to solve complex issues.
* Strong communications skills, both oral and written are essential.
Education/Experience: A BS/MSEE with 10 years of directly related work experience in an engineering environment is required.
Special Requirements:Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must have or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance. Candidate must be able to travel on occasion.
Additional Comments: This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicants skills, education and experience.
