This Sales Professional (SL) career role applies only to outside sales roles that primarily sell Sun's products and services either directly to external customers or sell Sun's products and services by partnering with external vendors. Work is customarily and regularly conducted at the customer's, or partner's, place of business and requires the economic persuasion of customers to act in a manner that positively impact Sun's earnings.? Outside sales does not include sales made by telephone or the internet unless such contact is used merely as an adjunct to in person calls, or as a vehicle for product fulfillment. Responsible for sales activities required to link customer's business requirements to solutions, secure and grow Sun business across all practices, and drive the relevant programs aimed at developing Sun sales. Sales activities may include prospect identification, proposal generation, professional presentations and closing the sale. Leads,or works as part of, an account team to identify, qualify and deliver solutions. Responsible the account plan to drive goal attainment in assigned territory. Coordinates with the other members of the sales team (Sun employees and partners) to support account sales and business development strategies. Helps identify and engage the appropriate partner to meet customer requirements. Becomes trusted advisor to key customer influencers and decision makers. Drives Sun strategy into assigned accounts. Follows all Sun methodologies and processes related to sales opportunity pursuit, including but not limited to the Deal Management Process (DMP). Ensures that the Sun sales programs are known and executed in assigned territory, including personal follow-up and engagement in selected opportunities. Achieves or exceeds the quarterly and annual sales goals. May travel frequently.
This is the New England territory (Burlington, Hartford, Providence) Financial and Insurance industries.
Requirements: Has a broad and deep understanding of the industry relative to key trends, operational functions, business drivers and strategies. Effectively uses sales tools and market campaigns to drive new opportunities.
Superior effectiveness in engaging executive levels (CTO/CXO) on business issues and industry trends.
Demonstrates MORE FREQUENT ability to anticipate customer needs and act accordingly.
Is a source of knowledge for other sales reps and Marketing.
SUPERIOR skill at positioning Sun's products and technology strategies as part of an Enterprise wide architecture. Demonstrated ability to resolve issues with minimal management involvement.
