Classification: Regular Full-Time
Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Typical Work Hours: Employees are expected to work at least forty (40) hours per calendar week.
Skilled technical team member able to take direction and work with a small team to deploy and install desktop devices, verify device is working, handle fiber optic jumpers, CAT 5e and CAT 6 cables in customer facilities.
Installs in accordance with contract or EIA/TIA standards Fiber Optic cables. Must have basic knowledge of hand tools and proper use of fiber cleaning equipment (Cletop, Chem-wipes, and fiber swabs).
Know how to use Fiber Scope and recognize difference in a clean fiber connector, a dirty connector or cracked feral.
Know the different types of fiber connectors (SC, LC, FC, etc) Perform CAT 5e or 6 terminations 568A/B (RJ45).
Qualifications:
· Demonstrated experience provisioning fiber optic delivery systems, broadband and narrow-band transport.
Ability to perform router and routing troubleshooting
At least two (2) years experience working directly with customer management is preferred
Ability to work in a team environment is a must
Excellent customer service practices
Experience working with end-users and management clients
Current (or have recently held in the last 12 months) a DOE Q Clearance is required
US Citizenship is required
